From Philosophy
Yes, I am interested in this wikicity. In particular, I plan to work on pages dealing with Free will and other topics that touch on what might be called Epistemology or Neurophilosophy. --JWSchmidt 19:43, 11 Jul 2005 (UTC)
- "The Primary nature of secondary qualities" sounds like it might get involved with how we reach ontological conclusions about primary qualities from our experiences of secondary qualities. I'm a biologist, and I am interested in the question of the extent to which our genetic predispositions guide us towards belief in particular primary qualities. For example, I think it natural for people to believe that humans have free will (behavioral choice) and a non-material soul. If we are genetically predisposed towards these beliefs, what combinations of genetic mutations, personal experiences, memes, empirical investigations and chains of reasoning are required to liberate us from such elements of human nature? --JWSchmidt 20:18, 13 Jul 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding suggestions
Hello, I have belatedly responded to your inquiry. It can be found here. If you prefer that I respond directly to your talk page, let me know. --Robert Harrison 06:03, 18 Jul 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome back!
I have received and read your note on my talk page. I'll get started on the advertising front. On a side note: I hope you had a fruitful adventure during your absence. --Robert Harrison 17:41, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Regarding Language support:
I was going to ask you about that as well. As a classic stereotypical U.S. American, I am unable to communicate in any other language besides English, however, I believe that a multi-language wiki would be a great idea. Go for it. --Robert Harrison 05:07, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)
